LEAD CARPENTER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee project progression and regularly report to Managers on the progress of all jobs.

  • Ensure all work done is in keeping with mandated and accepted safety practices.

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of work performed.

  • Oversee material delivery, tool care, and labor scheduling for work site, ensuring the Company's most efficient operation when placed in charge.

  • Work as a leader of the crew on-site, and at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with the Area Manager and Office, provide assistance as needed in order to complete jobs as scheduled.

  • Oversee and contribute to the education process of carpenters on your crew.

LEAD CARPENTER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 plus years of experience as a lead carpenter is required!

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Able to establish goals, and monitor progress against set goals.

  • Multi-Tasking, Able to supervise the progress of multiple projects assigned to you at the same time.

  • Must possess a high work ethic and personal integrity.

  • Effective Communication with others- including suppliers, customers, management and labor.

  • Must be capable of quick, sound reasoning, and able to make decisions.

  • Exemplifies professionalism in personal appearance, manner and dress, according to standards set by company.

  • Must have the skills and patience necessary to teach and work with others.
